Traveling Nora returns!
Do you remember Traveling Nora ? She visited with us in September, 2007. Well, after her several adventures in traveling, her original owners decided that she should find a permanent home. So we adopted her into our family at American Girl Rescue.
Welcome to AGR, Eleanor!

Dolls' House Update
I've been asked to post some more updated photos of our Dolls' House. These were actually taken last year, but they're newer than the ones I posted when it was new (HERE). This one is a little newer:
The Dolls' Room still has the TREE HOUSE on one wall and this wardrobe on one wall.
The Dolls' Room still has the TREE HOUSE on one wall and this wardrobe on one wall.
Here are the separate room photos only I don't have one of the first room now. Kaya and Julie share a room now, so here's a photo of Kaya's side and Julie's side separately.
The next room on the top is the Girl of the Year's Room (more or less):
Next room on the left is the Historical girls' room.
Beside that room, on the right is the Modern Girls' Bedroom:
On the bottom left is Josefina's Room. Her piano doesn't fit in her room. :-)
The last room on the bottom, is a Modern girl living room. Many haphazard items are in it. Now with Kit's Desk and Josefina's Piano too!
That's somewhat of how it looks. It changes a lot since we actually play with it! If you're our new friends from Atlanta, please comment. You can comment even if you don't have an account. Thanks for the fun time at AG-Atlanta!

Taylor Swift
My son (almost 16) wanted me to make him a customized Taylor Swift doll from an American Girl doll. We ended up buying an ebay Elizabeth for our project.
After braiding her hair in 17 micro braids, removing the wig and dipping it into boiling water (for a perm), then letting it dry for two days and re-gluing the wig on with an off-side part, we finally got to unbraid those little braids, condition her hair with Infusium 23 leave-in conditioner and trim up the ends of her hair. Here is the final product.

New arrival - Prudence Moody
This is not an American Girl doll, but she's joined our family so she's going to get some photos on the American Girl Rescue blog.
Prudence Moody is a Wilde Imagination Ellowyne Wilde doll, Essential Prudence-wigged out. She stands 16" tall and has 12 points of articulation for great posing ability. Here are a few photos of her and her new designer trunk that we just got to store her expanding wardrobe in.

Lanora
While we were at the AG-Atlanta store a couple weeks ago, our youngest son picked out and paid for his own American Girl doll. He's had his heart set on a #23 since Traveling Nora was here in September 2007. He saved up his money and got to pick out his own special girl.

Girl of the Year 2010
So we went to AG-Atlanta for my birthday weekend. What a lot of fun that always is.
I took lots of photos and may share more later, but for now - here she is!
One of Lanie's displays at AG-Atlanta. What a great camper, huh?
